Simple Creamy Porridge

Ingredients
  • 50g oats
  • 150ml soy or almond milk
  • 75g frozen berries
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • Dash of cinnamon
Directions
  • Step 1 Combine oats, milk and cinnamon into a sauce pan and bring to a boil at medium heat.
  • Step 2 Once boiling, bring down to a low heat and stir continuously for 3-5 minutes until the oats have thickened.
  • Step 3 Add more milk if you like it thinner, keep it as it is if you like it thick like goldilocks.
  • Step 4 Top with chopped banana, frozen fruit and a dash more cinnamon.

 

Want something a bit more than the ‘simple’ staple porridge? Here are our favourite flavour combinations if you’re feeling experimental:

 

Apple crumble:

half chopped apple, half grated apple, half a grated carrot, raisins, extra cinnamon, nutmeg and ground ginger.

PB & Jam:

top your simple creamy porridge with peanut butter, jam and even a dash of maple syrup.

Nutty delight:

chopped mixed nuts and a dollop of soy yoghurt.

Nutella heaven:

a tablespoon of nutella and a handful of raspberries.
